Varahi is the shakti (feminine energy) of Varaha, the boar avatar of the god Vishnu. In Nepal, she is called Barahi.

Varahi is worshipped by three practices of Hinduism : Shaivism (devotees of Shiva), Brahmanism (devotees of Brahma), and especially Shaktism (goddess worship).
