🌿 Sustainability & Eco-Friendly Initiatives

Yes. We focus on heirloom-quality metals (copper, brass, titanium) and traditional woods that last a lifetime, actively reducing the need for single-use plastics and disposable goods.
Do you use plastic-free packaging?
We are committed to reducing our carbon footprint. We prioritize recyclable cardboard, paper-based padding, and minimal plastic tape in our fulfillment process.
How does Sama Homes give back?
We proudly support girl child education initiatives, "Save Earth" environmental campaigns, and conduct annual distributions of food and blankets during harsh winters in India.
Are your wooden products ethically sourced?
Absolutely. Our wooden crafts, including Neem wood and Mango wood items, are sourced from sustainable plantations or reclaimed sources, ensuring minimal environmental impact.

🏺 Copper & Health (Tamra Jal)

Why is my bottle turning black or green inside?
This is patina/oxidation. It proves the copper is 100% pure and reacting with water.
Can I put coffee, juice, or lemon in copper?
No. Acidity and heat cause copper to leach too fast. Use plain, room-temperature water only.
How often should I clean the inside of my copper bottle?
Once a week with lemon juice and salt to maintain the ionizing effect and restore the shine.
Is your copper lead-free?
Yes, we use 99.9% pure, lab-tested medical-grade copper for all drinkware.
What are the benefits of copper water?
Ayurveda suggests that storing water in copper balances the three doshas (Vata, Kapha, Pitta) and naturally alkalizes the water.
Why does my bottle cap squeak?
This is simply copper rubbing against copper. Apply a tiny drop of olive or coconut oil to the threads to silence it instantly.
Can I put copper in the fridge?
Yes, but the copper will get very cold to the touch quickly. It is entirely safe.
Is drinking from copper safe for children?
Yes, one cup a day for children is generally considered safe and beneficial in Ayurvedic traditions.
Why did my water turn blue?
This usually means the water was left in the bottle for far too long (multiple days) or the water source was naturally acidic. Discard the water and clean the bottle.
How long should I store the water in the bottle?
6 to 8 hours (or overnight) is the "sweet spot" for maximizing Ayurvedic benefits without over-saturating the water.
Are the designs on your bottles painted on?
Depending on the model, designs may be intricately etched directly into the copper, hammered by hand, or applied using high-quality, non-toxic enamel prints on the exterior.
Why shouldn't I use an abrasive sponge on my copper?
Abrasive materials will scratch the protective outer lacquer (which prevents exterior tarnishing) and can damage delicate printed or etched designs. Always use a soft cloth.

🪒 Henson Shaving Expertise

Is the AL13 Mild (+) or Medium (++) right for me?
Mild is best for sensitive skin, shaving every 1-2 days, or body shaving. Medium is best for coarser hair or shaving every 3-5 days.
Why is my Henson razor skipping or dragging?
Ensure the baseplate is facing UP (the scalloped lather channels must face the blade). This is the #1 mistake new users make.
Does the AL13 work for women's body shaving?
Yes, thousands of women use the AL13 Mild for legs and underarms with zero irritation because the fixed angle prevents nicks.
How often should I change the blade?
Every 4-6 shaves is standard for maintaining the cleanest, smoothest cut.
What makes the Ti22 Titanium different from Aluminum?
It is twice the weight of aluminum (63g vs 37g), giving a more substantial "heirloom" feel, and it is 100% immune to corrosion.
Why doesn't the Henson clog like a plastic cartridge?
The aerospace design includes precise exit channels that immediately wash away hair and shaving lather under running water.
Is the color coating permanent?
Yes, it is Type II Anodized (bonded into the aluminum) and won't chip or peel under normal bathroom use.
Where is the warranty handled?
Henson offers a lifetime warranty. Since we are an authorized dealer, we can assist you with the process if you ever have an issue.

🛠️ Rockwell Razors Support

What is the difference between the Rockwell 6S and 6C?
The 6S is made of pure 316L Stainless Steel (indestructible, matte finish). The 6C is made of chromed zinc alloy (shiny, lighter). Both offer the same 6 adjustable settings.
Which plate setting should I start with?
Start on Plate 1 or 2 if you have sensitive skin or are new to safety razors. Move to Plate 3/4 for a closer daily shave, and 5/6 for thick, multi-day growth.
Is the Rockwell T2 better than the 6S?
The T2 offers the convenience of a "Twist-to-Open" butterfly mechanism and a fluid adjustment dial. The 6S requires you to manually unscrew the handle to flip the plates. It comes down to convenience vs. ultimate durability.
Can I use other blade brands in my Rockwell?
Yes, Rockwell razors use universal Double-Edge (DE) blades. You can use Astra, Feather, Derby, or any standard DE blade.
How do I clean my stainless steel 6S?
Soak it in warm water with mild dish soap and scrub with a soft toothbrush to remove soap scum. Because it's solid steel, it will not rust.

🍳 Brass Cooking & Kansa Dining

What is Kalai (Tin lining) and do I need it?
Kalai is a food-grade tin layer. It is necessary for cooking acidic foods (like tomatoes or tamarind) in brass to prevent a metallic reaction while keeping the excellent heat benefits.
Why use a Brass Masala Box (Spice Box)?
Brass helps keep spices fresh and potent by blocking harmful UV light and moisture.
Is Brass cookware induction-friendly?
Traditional brass is not magnetic. Only our specific "Induction-Base" models work on modern induction stovetops.
Why is my Kansa plate sounding like a bell?
That is the "chime" of purity. Only authentic Kansa (78% copper, 22% tin) resonates like a temple bell when tapped.
Can I put Kansa dinnerware in the dishwasher?
No. Dishwasher chemicals are too abrasive and will tarnish the beautiful bronze finish permanently. Always hand wash.
How do I clean burnt food off Brass?
Soak in warm soapy water, then use Pitambari powder or a lemon/salt mixture to restore the golden exterior.
Why does food cooked in Brass taste better?
The incredibly even heat distribution allows spices to bloom and roast perfectly without burning.
How long does a Kalai (tin coating) last?
Depending on usage, a Kalai coating typically lasts 6 to 12 months. When the brass begins to show through the tin lining, it is time to have the vessel re-tinned.
Is it safe to store food overnight in brass?
We generally recommend transferring cooked food to another container for overnight storage, especially if the food contains acidic ingredients, to prevent any metallic taste from developing.

☕ Tea & Coffee Rituals

Why use a traditional Brass Coffee Filter?
South Indian filters are made of brass for superior temperature retention, ensuring the coffee decocts slowly and completely.
How do I clean a brass tea strainer?
Use a soft brush and warm water with lemon juice to gently remove tea tannins from the fine mesh.
Does brass affect the tea flavor?
Many tea enthusiasts believe brass enhances the "earthiness" of Masala Chai compared to brewing in standard stainless steel.
Are your tea sets lead-safe?
Absolutely. We ensure all food-contact items are lead-free and crafted from high-purity metals.
What is a Dabara Set?
It is the traditional brass cup and saucer used to mix, cool, and froth South Indian filter coffee.
Can I boil water directly in a brass teapot?
Yes, if the specific teapot is designed for stovetop use (please check the individual product listing).
Is unlined brass safe for boiling milk?
Yes, milk is not acidic, so it is entirely safe to boil and serve in unlined brass vessels.

🥘 Cast Iron Cookware

Are your Cast Iron pans pre-seasoned?
Yes, our skillets and Tawas come pre-seasoned with vegetable oil. We still recommend applying a light coat of oil before your first use.
Does cooking in Cast Iron add iron to food?
Yes. Studies show that cooking acidic foods in cast iron can increase the dietary iron content of the meal, which is beneficial for those with anemia.
How do I restore a rusted Cast Iron Tawa?
Scrub the rust off with steel wool, wash it, dry it completely on a stovetop flame, and rub it with a high-smoke-point oil to re-season it.
Can I use soap on my cast iron?
A very small amount of mild dish soap is fine occasionally, but generally, hot water and a stiff brush are best to preserve the seasoned layer. Never soak cast iron in water.

🪵 Traditional Wooden Crafts

What makes Lac Wooden Belans special?
Our Belans (rolling pins) are traditionally handcrafted and coated with natural Lac resin, giving them a vibrant, food-safe, and incredibly smooth finish perfect for rolling dough.
How do I care for Neem wood utensils?
Neem wood is naturally antibacterial. Hand wash only with mild soap, dry immediately, and occasionally rub with food-grade mineral oil to prevent the wood from drying out.
Are your wooden products dishwasher safe?
No. The intense heat and prolonged moisture in a dishwasher will cause traditional wooden crafts to warp, crack, or lose their finish. Always hand wash.

🕉️ Vastu Shastra & Brass Idols

Which way should the Ganesha face?
Ideally towards the North-East or facing the main entrance to clear energy and remove obstacles.
What is the Vastu benefit of a Brass Turtle (Kachua)?
It brings stability, long life, and wealth when placed in the North sector of the home, facing inward.
How do I clean my brass idols for puja?
Use a mixture of lemon, salt, or Pitambari powder. For a gentle, sacred shine, a mix of lemon and honey works wonderfully.
What does a 'solid' brass idol mean?
It means it is not hollow. It is cast from solid metal using the lost-wax technique, giving it a heavy, high-vibration feel suitable for shrines.
Why use Brass for Akhand Jyot (Diyas)?
Brass has a high melting point, is durable, and symbolizes purity and divine light in Vedic rituals.
What is the significance of the Laughing Buddha?
When placed in the South-East, it is used to attract wealth, joy, and positive energy into the living space.
Is it appropriate to gift a deity idol?
Yes, gifting idols like Ganesha or Krishna is considered highly auspicious, especially for housewarmings or new business ventures, as it signifies wishing prosperity and good fortune.
Can I place idols on the floor?
Vastu principles recommend placing deity idols on an elevated platform, altar, or a dedicated puja chowki (pedestal) out of respect.

🧘 Ayurvedic Wellness Tools

How does a Kansa Wand detox the skin?
The copper-tin alloy reacts with the acidity of the skin. As you massage, it draws out toxins, often turning the massage oil grey—a visual sign of pH balancing.
Why choose a Copper Neti Pot over plastic?
Copper is naturally anti-bacterial. Unlike plastic, it won't harbor biofilm or bacteria in the spout, making it a much safer long-term choice for sinus rinsing.
How do I use a Copper Tongue Scraper?
Gently pull the scraper from the back of the tongue to the front 3-5 times every morning before brushing your teeth to remove Ama (toxins) and improve oral hygiene.
What oil should I use with the Kansa Wand?
Traditional Ayurvedic oils like Kumkumadi tailam or simple carrier oils like jojoba or coconut oil work best to provide the necessary slip for the massage.
Can I share my tongue scraper?
No. Like a toothbrush, a tongue scraper is a personal hygiene tool and should not be shared.
